Representative Les Eaves Members, if you could go ahead and take a seat, we’ll get the Executive Subcommittee started. Good afternoon, members. We just have one thing on the agenda. It’s consideration of a waiver request for cooperative purchasing construction services with the Van Buren School District. And it’s going to be presented by apparently Mr. Jeffcoat. If you would come on up here and push the button and state your name for the record and tell us what you need.
Harold Jeffcoat Well, good afternoon. I’m Harold Jeffcoat. I am Superintendent of the Van Buren School District and I appreciate the time that I can spend with you today. I am here to request a waiver. As you know, we are able to use a cooperative purchasing agency for projects that we have.
And construction projects, if they exceed $1 million, we have to seek a waiver. And I have presented to you a project that we’re doing. It’s a turf project. And we would like to go with a company that we’ve used in the past, had a lot of success with. And we believe that the pricing is the best that we’re going to get, even if we did go through any other type of procurement process.
