Don Cornelius Accor stabbed his wife, Tina Accor, to death inside their home in Camden, Arkansas, in September 2004, then told his pastor he had killed her.

According to police reports, Accor called Reverend Jacovis Davis early that morning and said he had killed his wife. Davis went to the home and found Tina Accor, 34, dead on a bed in a back bedroom.

Police said Accor stabbed her multiple times, leaving large wounds on the front and side of her neck.

After discovering the body, Davis removed the couple’s three young children from the home and contacted law enforcement. The children later went to stay with a relative.

Authorities arrested Accor and charged him with first-degree murder. At his initial court appearance, a circuit judge ordered him held on bond. Accor requested representation from a public defender.

Accor later pleaded guilty to first-degree murder. He entered the Arkansas prison system on May 13, 2005, and received a 40-year sentence.

He is currently housed at the Ouachita River Unit in Malvern. His projected earliest release date is September 16, 2032.

According to correctional records, Accor has no disciplinary actions while incarcerated and had no prior criminal charges at the time of the offense.
