Kanisha Adrow murder of Michael Osborne

Victim: Michael Osborne

Location: Little Rock

Year: 2007

Kanisha Adrow shot and killed Michael Osborne, 44, during a robbery in Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 9, 2007.

Police found Osborne inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

According to an arrest affidavit, multiple witnesses told detectives that Osborne was trying to buy drugs when Adrow pointed a revolver at him and demanded money. Witnesses said Adrow then shot Osborne and took the money from his hands.

At the time of the killing, Adrow was 23 years old. Court records show she had been released from the Pulaski County jail weeks earlier after being arrested on unrelated charges of residential burglary and theft. Jail records noted her release occurred due to overcrowding, after Pulaski County reduced jail capacity amid budget cuts.

Police later arrested Adrow in Minneapolis, and authorities extradited her to Arkansas to face charges in Osborne’s killing. A judge set her bond at $500,000 following her arraignment in Little Rock District Court.

Prosecutors initially charged Adrow with capital murder. Court records show she later entered a negotiated guilty plea to first-degree murder.

The court sentenced Adrow to 30 years in prison. She entered the Arkansas prison system on July 25, 2008, and is currently housed at the McPherson Unit in Newport.

Adrow is 42 years old as of 2026. Her projected release date is February 16, 2029. Correctional records note at least 50 disciplinary violations during her incarceration, including multiple batteries.
